Abstract: The text is prepared on the basis of an interview recorded in June 2022 from a plastic surgeon of the “Galaktika” Beauty Institute. The authors discuss the problems of professional formation of a plastic surgeon, his experience in general surgery, cardiac surgery, reconstructive and plastic surgery. The current problem of transgender persons and transgender transition in the modern world is touched upon. The article considers the specifics and results of the educational and scientific training of modern specialists, the importance of the humanitarian component in education and the need for specialists of “helping professions” in the daily practice of medical personnel.
