Abstract: In his interview, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Oleg Smolin talks about the development of modern science in the realm of human health, possibilities of integrating various traditional medical systems of the world (Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine and others) into practical public health of the Russian Federation. He discusses the issues of human health preservation, treatment and prevention of diseases, which require a deep, systematic, interdisciplinary approach.
