Abstract. This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of integrating the SIGVET-MSPI sensory information processing method into Gestalt therapy. The compatibility of these approaches is substantiated based on a shared phenomenological approach, the “here and now” principle, attention to bodily processes, and working with unconscious components of experience. Particular attention is paid to the method’s potential for working with psychological trauma, including reducing the intensity of emotional reactions, forming new adaptive connections, and resolving unfinished situations. Methodological recommendations for integrating instrumental psychocorrection into a Gestalt session are provided. Directions for further research and the development of standardized protocols for integrating the SIGVET-MSPI sensory information processing method into Gestalt therapy for psychological trauma are outlined, as well as for a comparative study of the effectiveness of this integrated approach compared to classical Gestalt therapy.
